Reminiscence of Living Times
After the night brought her pleasant thoughts and feelings of pure love an affection from someone she held dear, life before this still burrowed its way through her mind as the next dawn broke the dark sky. Sadie arose from her bed, Masky sound asleep beside her, still in his dreams that danced around his imagination. She smiled softly as her body shifts quietly out of the black satin sheets as without a creak, opened the door to find the halls pierced with silence for everyone as well was sound asleep, "hmm, I figured someone would be up by this hour.." she pondered to herself. Making her way down the flight of stairs and out the main door to find nature beginning the greet the sunlight with the sound of life filtering the forest and a light dew covered the ground. With one foot in front of the other, she travels through the large vast of trees that shown green hues by the light that cascaded upon her face. Finally deep enough in the woods she finds the lake where Sharpjaw resides as she sets herself down on the damp grass and dips her feet in the cool blue water and then her story begins, the tale of life before this one taking over her thoughts as Sadie's eyes close and her memories begin to narrate the childhood she remembered..

"The Usual Morning"
It was a bright sunny day, as the young girl happily jumped out of bed as her feet scampered into the kitchen to find her mother making breakfast as she swings around to find Sadie with her over sized night gown and her hair was in contorted shapes for she had an issue with bed head syndrome. Her mother smiles as the child takes a seat at the dinning room table; her father on the opposite end, he was dressed in his business suit for he was early bird when it came to his job. Indulging in his morning paper and a steaming cup of joe that he took sips of every so often, "good morning sleepy head! How did you sleep last night?" Her mother gestured as Sadie smiled wide as her mom set a fresh plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and an english muffin with melted butter and jam that dripped upon the rest of the meal, "it was good! I had a dream we all went out of the country and traveled the world! It was so wonderful, we should do it some time!" Her mother laughed softly as her father put the paper down and laughed loudly as he smiled at Sadie, "you are dreamer, you definitely get that from your mothers side! Well you two have a wonderful day, I have to get to work but I'll be back later tonight so if you want Sadie we can go out and catch fireflies tonight, it'll be a nice night for it." Sadie overcame with excitement as she began eating her meal as she spoke with a mouthful of food, "mnthat would bemnn amazing!" Her parents both chuckled as he gave them goodbye kisses and left the scene as the rest of the picture blacked out..

Sadie frowned as she missed those mornings when she was happily greeted with the smiles and affection of her parents; her mind skipped forward in time by a few years to when life started to get out of hand..

"This Is Not Good News"
Sadie opened her front door as her mother a few days ago as sent to the hospital, she had came home from school one day and found her passed out on the floor of the kitchen and instantly without hesitation called 911; her mother has been in intensive care for several days now, her father, worried sick decided to leave work early that day to go visit her. Sadie, just getting home from a long day at Secondary School instantly drops her book bag on the floor by the door and makes her way to the hospital; she hated the smell and the aura of a house hold for the sick and dying, but her mother was there and there was no way she would miss a single chance of not seeing her mother's face. She knocked on the door as her father opened it, "I'm glad you're here Sadie, how was school today?" He asked, "it was alright, I couldn't focus on anything because of the situation we're in though..." she frowned as he gently hugged her and showed her to the body lying so peacefully in the bed; sitting down in a chair, Sadie grabbed her mothers hand as a tear sheds from her duct, "s-so..did they find out what was wrong with her?" She looks deeply at her fathers disheartened expression, "the doctor's about to come in with the results any minute, you came at a perfect time.." He softly spoke, not trying to choke on his words in front of his own child. Minutes pass by as the silence was broken and the doctor with a nurse beside him as she checked her vitals and made sure everything was correct, the doctor clears his throat as he gives them a negative feeling, "I'm.....sorry to say this, but we did x-rays and every kind of test we could and found out that she had passed out from a lack of oxygen, but the real problem is that.." He even starts to choke, "s-she's been diagnosed with stage four brain cancer, and to our calculations she's been having issues with this for a few years now..she only has several weeks to live.." The room got quiet as Sadie's father became furious as he approached the doctor with rage, "THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO SAVE HER?!?!" He almost laid hands upon the man but quickly calmed himself as tears flowed down his cheeks, "t-there's nothing? A-anything? T-to save my wife?" The doctor shook his head, "sadly the cancer has spread too far for us to perform any procedures or surgery, it's too late..I am truly sorry.." Sadie, sitting there.. overwhelmed with the feeling of loss as she bursts out in a loud cry, "PLEASE MOTHER, DON'T LEAVE ME, DON'T LEAVE US!! WE NEED YOU, I NEED YOU!!" She grasps the limp hand of her mother, bowing her head to the ground as salty water splashes the cold tile floor.. the scene fades to black..

Sadie chokes up as a tear flows down one side of her face as she curls herself up and wraps her arms around the bent up legs, but it's not over.. just yet

"Why Have You Changed Father?"
Several years have slowly passed by Sadie and her father, as she was in her Sixth Form for schooling; she was at the age of 17, a year before she kills herself. She opens the door to find her father buried within cans upon cans of alcohol; he was drunk yet again but this wasn't different from any other day. "H-hey...dad.." she shuts the door as he yells, "DON'T FUCKING SLAM THE DOOR!!" "I-I didn't.." he stands up and presses his hands tightly against her shoulders, "YOU SLAMMED THE FUCKING DOOR, DON'T TELL ME YOU DIDN'T!! I AM RIGHT AND YOU ARE WRONG!!" She cowers in fear as she breaks out in tears, "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!" But alas, he never cared about her after the soul of their household had passed; he laid his palm against her face as she dropped to the floor, "you are a mistake, just like your mother!" He groans, wobbling a bit from being intoxicated. The words he always said now everyday to her made her die a bit inside every time, but her father wasn't done with Sadie yet.. Picking up her limp body from the floor by the collar of her shirt, he begins to choke her against the door, still making contact with her face now with a swollen structure cause by his balled up fist, "YOU REMIND ME OF HER EVERYDAY!! YOU ARE THE REASON I AM SO MISERABLE, GO TO YOUR ROOM AND NEVER COME OUT; YOU DON'T GET TO EAT TONIGHT EITHER!!" He throws her body at the foot of the stairs, blood drips from her nose as she's in tears and on all fours quickly scampers to her room. Jumping on the bed and burying her bloody, battered face into the pillow as she screams but it is muffled enough so that her father doesn't come upstairs, "M-MOTHER!! WHY?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO AND BREAK THIS FAMILY APART?! I MISS YOU!! FATHER'S DIFFERENT THAN HE WAS WHEN YOU WERE ALIVE!! JUST.....JUST..." Little did she know that her father was resting his head against the door, but for once, he didn't barge in and beat the living shit out of her. Walking down the stairs he sat back on the couch and cried, "fucking bitch, making me think of my wife..how she looks just like her, I can't stand her.." and popped open another beer.. the memory painfully went away..
--
Sadie shook her head as she gazed upon the several cuts on her arms and touched them with her fingertips, the deep grooves reminded her of how she freed herself from that house, and freed her own father from going insane of seeing her resemblance every day, "I'm better off now..than I was when she died..but those times before she did, will always live with me and wonder what would have happened if she was still living..if she was, I wouldn't be where I am right now..life is a fickle thing.." She softly speaks to herself as she notices a face just watching her through the reflection of the lake, "W-were you listening and watching me the whole time Sharpjaw?!" Her expression turns sour as he looks around, he tries to speak but bubbles just pop on the surface and quickly swims away to escape a certain beating. Sadie just relaxes as she frowns, "s-sorry.." standing up to walk back to the house..
"It's okay, I know how you feel..I lost my mother as well, but I never knew my father.." A voice echoed from the trees and she knew it was Sharpjaw. "Oh really? Least I'm not alone, but probably would have been the best if you never knew your father..like I did.." "I mean yeah, but my mother would talk about him all the time, I think he was some sort of superhero!" Sharpjaw chuckles as tree branches shift and leafs fall onto the ground and some on Sadie, "A superhero? You have got to be kidding me!" She laughs as they both reach the home; BEN was outside playing fetch with Smile as the rest of the gang were sitting on the front porch with breakfast and hot tea, Slendy waves at them as Sharpjaw lands firmly on the grass, "hey you two! Do you want some breakfast?" They both ran to find that it was scrambled eggs, bacon.....and an english muffin with butter and jelly..Sadie smiled softly as she knew this life was much better than her last, but she will always remember the good times on how living was so sweet.
